Buckskin/chamoisée, born 3/13/2013. Photos are from 2022, her seventh freshening, when she finished her GCH. I showed her only once as a junior, as a six-month-old kid, when she won Junior Grand Champion. As a younger senior, she won one Grand Champion and then accumulated 4 reserves until, at the age of nine years old, June 2022, she got her third GCH in a large entry of 52 senior does to finish her permanent championship. Still looking beautiful at nine years old!

Show wins: 1 Junior Grand Champion. 2 senior Grand Champion, and 4 reserves.

3/1/17. Buckskin-and-white doe. Side picture is from 2020, rear from 2023.
2018: Absolutely gorgeous, can't wait to see her first freshening!
2020: Well, her udder is not very big, but very well attached, and her structure and dairy characteristics are still so beautiful that she earned her two senior championship legs the first two times I showed her as a senior, 2020. The judges both commended her as just what a Nigerian ought to be: long, elegant, upstanding, strong, and looking like a "miniature Alpine." They both said she is the type that all Nigerian breeders should be striving for.
2021: Her udder is much bigger, still very well attached, and developing more medial division, so she is really fulfilling her early promise.

Show wins: ADGA: Jr Grand Champion and 1 junior reserve; a senior Reserve and 2 Senior Grand Champions.

3/16/18. Dark buckskin doe. One of my few does ever to win as a first freshener - she took Reserve Senior Doe at the only show I took her to in 2020. She has a gorgeous body and very nice udder -- moderate size but well-attached with good division and large teats.

Show wins: ADGA: one junior reserve and a senior reserve at the only show I took her to in 2020.

GCH (pending confirmation) Fairlea Esmeralda 3*D 3*M

Fairlea Apollo x SGCH Fairlea Eleanor

Esmeralda's page
4/2/18. Cream doe with white belt (the belt is almost invisible against her cream body color, but it reappears in most of her kids). Esme was too fat to win as a junior (her mother SGCH Eleanor had a LOT of milk) and developed mastitis during her first freshening, making her too uneven to show for the rest of that year and the next, but in 2022 she freshened with a truly exciting udder that looks a lot like my best-ever-udder of the past, Fairlea Fleur, who was Esme's great-grandmother through her grandfather, Fairlea Jean Valjean. At the first show of 2022, a double show, she was Best of Breed at both shows and now needs only one more win to finish her permanent championship.

Show wins: ADGA: one junior reserve. Senior wins: 2 times Grand Champion and Best of Breed at Eastern New York Dairy Goat Club in May, 2022; Reserve at same show in 2024; GCH at Heath Fair in 2025.

Born 4/7/21, Cream with a white belt. She was too fat to win as a junior (so many of my white does seem to have that problem!). Unfortunately, she didn't kid at age two, but in 2024 at 3 years, she kidded with a fabulous udder, even better than her mother Esme! I currently consider her my best show doe.

Show wins: Junior Grand Champion at Topsfield Fair 10/10/22, Reserve Junior Grand Champion at Topsfield Fair the day before, 10/9/22. Two senior Reserves in 2025 at shows with big entries at Altamont, NY, in May and at the Big E in September.

Red bay and black. Sadly, I lost my sweet Ailia at only six years old, from pregnancy toxemia. She left behind a lovely half-Nigerian daughter who I hope will carry on her personality, beauty, and tremendous milk production. The pictures are from fall, 2013, during the second year of Ailia's first lactation. I wanted to experience "big goats" and couldn't resist the elegant look of this breed. Thank you, Michael Covey, for this utterly sweet and lovely girl!

Show wins: I only took her to three shows in 2013, and she won GrCH and BB at all three and finished her CH at only three years old! This included one show with an empty udder; I got confused and milked her out for the Best in Show competition in the first ring of a two-ring show before we had been in the second ring. But she still won in the second ring!
